We have an approximate 12 x 20 overed deck on the back of our house with a 1-12 pitch (very flat). We tried three-tab shingles and rolled roofing. We could not stop getting the pesky leaks over time. An EPDM roof material was applied and that stopped the leaks for quite a while. However, one or two appeared. I did not hesitate to call Solid Rock to have them come coat the roof after seeing the results on our church building. They did a remarkable job. Very professional and very reasonable.
